918 Studio is now Early Software Studio.

Kansas City, Kansas, October 13, 2026. Early Software Studio ("Early"), the custom software studio formerly known as 918 Studio, today announced that it has completed its rename. The studio builds MVPs, internal tools, SaaS platforms, mobile apps and AI features for founders and established businesses, production-ready in six to twelve weeks at a fixed price, with a working demo every week and the client owning the code.

The business behind the name is unchanged, and the company itself is being renamed: 918 Studio LLC is changing its legal name to Early Software Studio LLC, with the filings with the Kansas Secretary of State and the IRS in process. The team, the leadership, the studio at 43 Kansas Ave in Kansas City, the phone number and every client agreement carry over exactly as they were. The studio began operating as Early in September 2026 and moved its website from 918studio.com to www.buildearly.com on October 9, 2026; the old addresses redirect.

Why Early

918 Studio took its name from the 0.918-inch height of a piece of lead type, the standard that made printing, and knowledge, available to everyone. The team still believes modern tools put real software within reach of far more people than before. The new name says what the studio does with that belief: the best time to get software right is early, before the workaround becomes the process and the spreadsheet becomes the system.

"We picked Early because it says what we do better than a number could. We show up before the mess, and we ship before the market does. Clients who know us as 918 will notice a new name and a new bird on the website, and nothing else."

What changes for clients and partners

The website now lives at www.buildearly.com, and email to the studio goes to launch@buildearly.com. The studio's LinkedIn and Instagram pages carry the new name. Nothing else changes: projects, contacts, contracts, invoices and the phone number all stay as they are. Once the state and federal filings are complete, invoices and agreements will show the new legal name.
